Water Project (Hand pump rehabilitation) started in partnership with Calabar State Government

Cross River State Government initiated a new Water Project with Tulsi Chanrai Foundation (TCF) to undertake "Rehabilitation of 540 Non-Functional Hand Pumps and its Operation and Management"

To launch the project, partners meeting was held at Ikom on 19th and 20th December 2012. 

WASH office coordinators of 18 local area government attended the program. Along with Director Planning and Monitoring, RUWASSA, Principle Technical Officer, RUWASSA and, TCF staff. 

One of the WASH coordinators shared that "this is the step in the right direction and we look forward to have expert technical advice and assistance from TCF to undertake the project".

The project with the Cross River State will be for a period of three years and it is estimated that it would benefit nearly half million people to have access to clean and safe drinking water in the State.
