Christian: Regaining Vision

Christian (standing in the picture)
along with his two visually impaired brothers and mother

In November 2012, Dr. Sreedhar, the Ophthalmic Surgeon diagnosed Christian with congenital Cataract, which can be cured with a small eye surgery of maximum 15 minutes. The revelation from the Surgeon brought back the lost hope in the family.

Christian was operated on his right eye on 30th November 2012. And now Christian’s post operative vision is 6/6 - normal vision.  Christian will be coming back to the Eye Hospital in Calabar for his left eye surgery on 11th February, 2013.

A miracle is waiting to unfold in Mrs. Udom’s family when on 11th February, 2013 Christian’s left eye will be operated and he would be able to lead a normal life.

Paediatric eye surgeries require special care and additional resources. There are several children below the age of 8 years waiting to re-gain their vision. TCF is planning to organize a pediatric eye camp and seek financial assistance for it.

To know how you could help TCF to organize pediatric eye camp, please write to us:
