Grand Oak

"Grand Oak Ltd shares the same philosophy with TCF, a philosophy that is rooted in sustainable Vision for all, showers of Blessing through clean portable water which guaranteed good health and prosperity"

Fatai Odesile, Commercial, Director, Grand Oak Limited

The underlying belief by the management is that as a responsible corporate citizen, the company must give back to the society in which it does business.  This they do by embarking on programmes designed to positively affect the lives of the people in the chosen communities, towns or states.

In conjunction with Tulsi Chanrai Foundation (TCF), a Non Governmental Organization, Grand Oak Ltd through its flagship brand, Seaman’s Schnapps is involved in the Mission for Water and Mission for Vision projects.

The Mission for Water project is aimed at improving availability and access to safe, sustainable drinking water to individuals and families in Cross River State. TCF works with community to rehabilitate and sustain the functionality of existing water hand pumps in the affected areas.  It is a strategic intervention because thousands of hand pump boreholes drilled are not functional. So instead of sinking new boreholes, the objectives are to revamp old boreholes, make them functional, train maintenance team and educate the communities to take ownership of the facilities.

The Mission for Vision project is aimed at restoring vision to curably blind people annually- 100 vision restoring cataract surgeries free of charge to the patients at a rate of 25 surgeries per quarter. The “Mission for vision” initiative renders free treatment and surgery to victims who are largely poor and residents of grass roots areas who could not pay for the needed surgery. Beneficiaries of this project have been drawn from as far as Kebbi, Abia, Cross River, Adamawa and Owerri.

Meanwhile, in addition to rehabilitating existing water hand pump boreholes through its partnership with TCF, Grand Oak Ltd has been involved in providing new water boreholes in selected communities. Those that had benefited in this initiative,  aimed at improving the quality of life of Nigerians through access to safe and portable water include two areas in Ogun State namely Ota, Ilogbo and Mbaise area of Imo State.

Grand Oak Ltd is a leading supporter of the unique Africa Culture. It has sponsored major festivals in the country that include the UNESCO recognized Osun Oshogbo Festival among others.

It is also involved in the beautification and maintenance of big roundabouts on highways- an environmental improvement initiative. Some of these include; Seaman’s Roundabouts at Osogbo, Ife and Onitisha; Bacchus Roundabout in Lagos (Idimu and Igando LCDAs).
